04 GTO's were the LS1. In 05 they bumped them up to the LS2 for obvious reasons. GTO's are slow. They need all that extra power to move its chunky fenders, and rear bumper.

AGAIN like i said i am not 100% sure about the wot it sounded that way but in the same sense the kid prolly didnt know how to drive. my car is auto and his was manual i had traction control on and it still went sideways(at an angle to the lane i was in) plus it could have been the 5.7 version which is the same as my car and mine has a few bolt ons so that puts me at an advantage plus the 35th anniversary Z/28 runs in the 13's stock. just trying to put a little reason into this dog session, thats what happened take it or leave it. just to add some merit my car will break the tires lose and go sideways on command even at a 20 punch with trac control off not sure with it on and not sure about anything over that speed cause then i am looking at the road not the guages.

this is the reason i am looking for a new torque converter my car WILL break the tires loose with traction control on when in first it will not power brake but will spin with no remorse and that is no lie. just punch it and hold your foot to the floor and it will do it it jumps alot with the throttle but it will do it(at least mine did). when i past the guy i was spinning the tires i do not know if he was or not but i do know his car was screaming through the exhaust. when the kid was passing me is when i punched it and like i said i had let out and was coasting waiting for him but when he passed he was not moving very fast so yes he could have been spinning i didnt really see if he was i was trying not to hit him but i still took him.

ok explain to me this then, my friend has a 93 GT with a few bolt ons now it is a convertible so it is heavier but still. from a stop light it turned green we both hit it and spun his manual and my auto i blew him out of the water spinning through second with smoke.

Wait. Did you just compare a mid to high 14 second 15 year old Mustang to a low 13 second 2-4 year old GTO??
The reason the Mustnag went like that is its old and SLOW. A friend of mine had a 94 GT and I pulled him in my 01 WS6 spinning but his car also ran low 15s. Apples and oranges.

Just quite trying to explain yourself and be happy with your kill, i've noticed some gto owners, especially the ls2 model owners get especially buthurt when an fbody beats them, atleast the few i have run wont give a thumbs up or anything, just look pissy and straight forward.
