6:50 is when the 335i comes in. Dinan chip only, still under warranty, lol. I run him at 11:14 (mods in sig, but with stock snowflakes). Most of his runs are 40 rolls. Those things are quick! It's funny to hear my car disappear when he rolls up the window too, lol.. It'd be nice to have bolt on LS1 power, with bad ass luxury, under warranty.

And think about this: the 135i has the same engine, but less weight....
Great video. Thanks for posting. I've been running the Vishnu V3 tune in my 335 for about a month and have not had a chance to run anyone yet. The Dinan is probably putting down 330-340whp while Vishnu with Intake and catback should be at about 370whp.

the turbos are part of the manifold aren't they? so isn't there little room to upgrade after all the bolt-ons?

Space is really tight and they are tiny turbos to begin with. There are a couple of places trying to fabricate an upgrade, but nothing seems close to production.

There is one company that just started (yesterday) a project to do an upgrade. The upgrade would include new turbos, manifold, and wastegates. The company is VKMotorwerks. They have a good reputation, so far. They have an upgraded oil cooler out at this time.

Seems like this topic comes up a lot on here and I keep having to post my video footage

And for those that want to compare to other vehicles, here is footage of me vs 2001 ///M5 and footage of that same ///M5 vs a brand new ///M3...

The 335i I raced was an autotragic, and the word is they are quicker than the 6 speed models...

The 335i had not been dyno'd when we raced so the totals in the vid are an estimate...I believe he dyno'd around 340whp/380wtq shortly after we raced.

The E92 ///M3 had a passenger while the ///M5 did not....

Great video. One thing to know about the V2 procede is it overboosted like crazy and caused the computer to pull timing. I was an idiot, ran for a few months without a boost gauge, and missed some of the information about this. I installed a good boost gauge and hit 23PSI on one run, and consitently was in the 18.5 PSI range. That's dangerous boost for the stock turbos, and tthe problem has been demonstarted time and time again (peak boost on pump gas should be no more than about 15.5). The only cure was an upgrade to v3 procede which is hitting boost targets perfectly. Can you get your friend in the video to upgrade and run him again?

I'll talk to him and see if he plans to upgrade...

The only issue is now he is running catless downpipes and is already making more power than he was when we ran

I've got a cam and an LS7 clutch planned soon...

All you need is a clutch and 100 shot and run him again

A cam should take care of that issue. What are you thinking about running for a cam?

Haven't really started researching yet...

I daily drive my SS so I want something somewhat mild but I'd like to get as close to 400whp as possible...

Currently have MTi Lid, Superchips Tune, Random Tech cats that have been gutted, Random Tech Y-pipe, and a Hooker Catback...

Cool. V3 with catless DP's (w/dual cone intakes - you can get them for $150 or less) and the stage 2 map, is showing about 390whp and 390wtq. He is going to need to do some weight reduction to keep close.

Have fun.

well if i were you i would get a 228/228 or something in that area and some longtubes. Those two will net you right around 400rwhp but will still have very nice nice torque and driveabality. Tuning and little tricks have come a long way so cams are a lot easier to daily drive. But i would just do plenty of research and get what you want because you will probably change your mind like three times. I know i have.
