Default Can I use stock bolts with Spohn Kmember?

Just bought a new Spohn K Member and I didnt get the bolts with it.

Can I reuse the stock ones for bolting it into the car?

Also, what are the specs for the bolts for the motor mount?

Thanks

I re-used the original bolts when I installed my UMI K-member. Torque specs are something like ~107 ft-lbs for the 4 main bolts, and ~93 ft-lbs for the 2 smaller rear bolts. I've double checked the torque on mine a few months after the fact, and it's still as tight as the day I installed it .

What spec do you need for the motor mount bolts? Torque?? Tight!!

We don't supply new bolts with our k members. We suggest reusing the stock hardware.

Thanks for the replys guys.

Only reason I am asking is because they list on their website that they supply new 12mm 10.9 Grade bolts for the kmember.

Includes (6) new 12mm Grade 10.9 k-member mounting bolts and heavy flat washers

I will give the stock bolts a try. Cant see why they wouldnt work. =)

just curious, have you weighed the k members yet? what was your purpose of switching to the aftermarket k member after the turbo build?

I think the scale I was using is a little off.

But the spohn showed up as 26 pounds, and stocker was 42 pounds.

I switched to this kmember for added room around the turbo piping. Also the ability to drop the pan without having to drop the kmember is a huge plus =).

Besides, the stock kmember blocks you from doing anything under the car, now with the new kmember I can reach anything.

good thinking! I noticed a guy having mentioning, even after his heat wrap, a pipe (kit designed by the same ebay seller) was starting to melt another line. Have you had any close calls, anywhere on the car, with heat?

Nothing has really melted yet. I have only ran the car for about 500miles.

I will say that with the spohn kmember everything looks very nice, and everything is so easy to get to now.

I can even replace my passenger O2 from the passenger side wheel well now lol.

I have heard some people say that it's not good to do a tubular k member on cars that see regular street duty, any comments or oppinions on this?
