Front struts for turd gen fit a 4th gen?

Default Front struts for turd gen fit a 4th gen?

Found a brand new set of performance struts on craigslist for a 92 Formula.

There dirt cheap being sold by the ex wife. WIll they fit?

Considering the fact that the 4th gen does not have struts..... no, they will not fit.

The rear shocks will fit (if they are included), but 4th gens don't even have struts in the front, so the fitment isn't even close.

Don't the older cars have a McPherson set up in front??

Never owned one never wanted to.

Yes, 3rd gen struts will fit on a 4th gen coil on shock car....

You will need a whole bunch of other parts, a welder and a bunch of spare time to pull it off. Me I'd pass on them.

It is a MODIFIED mcpherson strut setup. not a direct mcpherson. The spring and strut are seperate but the strut/shock is the up control arm. unlike the 4th gen which has upper and lower a-arms and a spindle. with the "strut" in between all that. just makes things more difficult. Also the shock towers arent exposed which makes adjustable shocks more of a challenge to adjust because the adjustment has to be on the side of the shock.
