Default lowering and rotor questions

Do you think if i lower my 2000 camaro about an inch will it help with aerodynamics in drag racing? Maybe 1-2 mph?

And if i get light weight rear rotors( lets say I save 15lbs total rotating weight) do you think that also will make a gain in acceleration?

I heard somewhere that for every lb of rotating weight you shed it is similar to shedding 5 lbs of dead weight, so 15 x 5= 75lbs, or .75 mph?

Anyone know of any testing on this theory?

I know these probably aren't huge gains, but if you take stress off of a car then there may be other benefits as well, better mpg, more reliable?

first off, lowering a car typically will hurt your 1/4 miles as it stiffens the suspension. for drag racing you want weight transfer. it might help your top speed in a road course, but there are lots of variables used in determining that.

if you get lighter rear brakes it will help...but how are you taking 15 lbs off STOCK rotors? youd have to go to a drag style setup to save that much weight.
