Default UMI ADJ LCAs and ADJ PHB

I took advantage of Byunspeeds/UMIs nice sale and ordered these parts finally.

I'm so happy I did. My car feels more stable through sweeping turns, quick turns, etc.....

I can also roll slightly from a stop then mash the gas and hook right up on my stock size street tires. This was last night, the temp was near freezing....

I suggesting buying these parts if you haven't already. Even without the discount I would have been happy

No I can take pictures on the parts on the car. I don't think that will help as much though lol.

It's very straight forward as far as installation goes. Make sure you have a 21mm open end wrench since you can't use a ratchet when taking the bolt off of the passenger side Panhard Bar unless you jack that side up slightly.

It also a good idea to have ramps. I'm no mechanic so anyone can do this. I would also recommend a rubber mallet/hammer.

My rod ends didn't quite fit as they were really snug and required some massaging to get in. Which is good in my eyes that wa I know it is secure in the Lower Relocation Brackets.

If ou have any questions feel free to respond or pm me.

I have a couple of questions:
Did you get the single adjustable units?
Did you get and install the relocation brackets at the same time?
What did you car used to do, spin, hop, or something else?
I already have the PHB and I think it is an excellent quality piece, but I have been putting off on the LCAs.

I would them, they are well worth it. I felt that the relocations helped some. The LCAs helped plant my wheels during acceleration and my PHB has helped when turn as the body feels it doesn't roll as much

Default Torque Arm NEXT!

Now, go get the UMI Adjustable Torque Arm, with the DS loop, set it to -3.5 degrees and thank me later!

It makes it even better!

Will this Torque arm be compatible with my 10 bolt and a 12 bolt/9 inch later?

(I don't want to sound too much like a jerk, but...)

Just think about it; any 12 bolt or 9 inch made for our cars has a place for a stock Torque arm to bolt to it, this adjustable torque arm bolts up using the same connection points, therefore, YES! it will be usable after you upgrade your rear end too!

I have only driven my car for one day since the install but it feels a lot better when taking turns aggressively. The traction was slightly improved but i still spin in 1st. I'm going to try a few more times and see if the traction has improved

I've been told some TRQ ARMS don't work with certain rear ends

Here is what UMI says about their transmission mount adjustable TA:
"Fits GM 10-Bolt rear-ends, Moser and Strange 12-Bolts as well as most 9” housings." So it sounds like both popular 12 bolts are supported, but the 9 inch is brand-dependent.

Hello,

Like mentioned our torque arms will bolt to virtually any rear end... the popular rear ends like the Moser 12-Bolt and 9" as well as the Strange 12-Bolt and S60 are no problem at all. We just don't recommend our non-adj. torque arm on the 9" because it requires some grinding.

Hope that helps!
Ryan

Thanks, I found a good deal on a Spohn T/A that I couldn't pass up. I'll be buying SFCs from you guys though.

I love how involved you guys are on this site.
