Default Harsh ride in the rear

My firebird is riding real stiff, It feels like im going over railroad tracks when going over the slightest bump. It started after my Moser 12 bolt install. I have LCA's, PHB and Konis all around. It feels like maybe the LCA's are binding or feel like they're loose. I just bought some relo brackets to see if it helps. Was there any grinding or triming that needed to be done on the LCA bracket or the E-brake bracket?

Grease the lca's, and the relocation brackets will make the car stiffer. The lower you have them set the harder it will be to push the rear down.

The brackets won't help, Dennis is right on the money.

The increase in unsprung weight from the larger, heavier axle is not helping either. And if the LCA's can't articulate (like all poly boxed or tubulars) that hurts too. What are your tire pressues, and finally where are the shocks set?

I'm afraid you might have just complied a bunch of things that will result in what you are getting. Depending on what's up we might be able to help the ride a bit.

Tire pressure is at 30 on all 4 tires, front shocks are 3 sweeps from soft, rears are set on full soft. LCA's are hotchkis and PHB is Hotchkis as well. Springs are stock with 1 coil removed

And when you put the new axle in, did anything else change? The cut springs aren't helping... I'm wondering if that was done at the same time as the axle?

And are we talking about heavy wheel/tire combination here as well (that's even more unsprung weight).

Nothing else was done, 16" stock wheel. LCA's were greased pretty good as well.

Could a frozen shock cause this? I had one frozen Koni that was replaced.

LCA's are poly boxed. As for the shock, i was hearing a clunking noise when i pushed down on the rear of the car. I inspected the rear suspension and removed my shocks, well when i pused down on the shock it would take a a good 5 minutes to travel from the bottom to the top
