Hello Jose,

You will be fine to jack your vehicle up using our K-member.

If I can help anymore please ask. Thank you!

It will scratch if your jack has a bare metal plate, however I did modify mine with a small, relatively high-durometer 3/4" piece of rubber that I came across one time that was slightly larger than the contact plate. I cut it to fit right on top of the plate, used some sort of adhesive (can't remember what, but it was readily available) so it stays on.

This isn't always the best thing to do, however it's so far proven quite well if used properly.

They sell "jack pads", I got one at Harbor Freight just because
I saw it. Though a scrap of soft wood, has done as well for me.
