Sway Bar Removal?

Sway Bar Removal?
Just curious how much removing the front sway bar will help with my traction issues . I have some traction issues and was curious if this would at least help me plant the rear tires a little better? Let me know what you guys think. I plan on purchasing M/T radials and a little suspension work in the near future, but my nitto drag radials will have to do for now.

Think of it this way. The engine/transmission rotates the drive axle to turn the rear end gears and axles. It also cause the axle to want to rotate in the same direction, so one wheel gets more downward force. The engine side wants to rotate the other way. Both make for a poor combination leaving straight.
The rear swaybar helps keep the chassis and the axle more rigid with each other. BMR and other places have real big bars for this.
For handling swaybars are used a bit different and drag vs handling swaybar setups are almost contradict each other.
Please note I am also not a drag racer...

if you are disconnecting the end links, why not just lose the 4 nuts and cut the extra ~20 lbs off the nose of the car and take the sway bar off completely?
and adjusting the qa1's and dropping tire pressure won't help your car leave straight as much as a drag bar. The closest mod you could do to get the effect of a drag bar is putting an air bag in the spring.
take a look at this...
That's a car launching without the aid of a drag bar and flexing off the line.
Does it look cool? Hell yeah! does it net good ET? Hell no!
Think of it... that passenger tire has a majority of the load on it, while the driver's side is being lifted off the ground. It's almost like having an open slip differential.
Having a drag bar eliminates that flex and allows both tires to be planted evenly. so instead of just having that one tire up in the air, this guy could of had both of them in the air.

Best way to tell man is just try it in a few months, alot of people will tell you it helps, and alot will tell you it wont. I talked to jinxs about it and he said he didnt notice a difference, but hell when you rippin 60s like he was, you may not notice the difference. As far as the rear sway bar, right now you can buy better mods for the price of it. Thats more for the big HP cars. Id look into shocks instead of upgrading the rear for right now. Youll notice a big improvement with the M/Ts over the Nittos though.

This guy has his passenger side 2 clicks stiffer...

could he adjusted some more? yes... but in all reality, it boils down to this... by placing an air bag, having one shock softer than the other, you are just putting a band-aid on the problem.
