Default Best shocks?

Sorry. I just wanted to be the first person in 2009 to ask this question. Happy new year.

Around here I thought there was only one shock. Guess in 09 we may have another choice. Can't wait!

I'm going back to Decarbons this year. I really just wanted the orange color, and I couldn't get my Bilsteins to take to the Krylon touch.

Cannot remember what brand and make they were, but I'll try to give a description:

1. They were an "off-brown" colour.
2. They were so soft to the touch which made them really difficult to install.
3. They had a peculiar unpleasant/unforgettable smell.

EDIT: Wait! my apologies, I didn't read the OP's request in thorough details.
