Default Which SFC's should i buy and why. POLL!!

I will be using the car for pleasure driving and drag. Would it be worth the extra $130 for the 3 point sbc's???? And how much so if so...

Worth it imo. If you are going to make your car stiff, why not make it as stiff as possible? The 3 points allow you to put a short torque arm on, or anything worth while where the tunnel brace went. Those tabs where it went are so weak, if you put anything there it'll rip right off. A 3 point gives it a sturdy surface, and doesn't reduce ground clearance _at_all_. My LTs hang a half inch lower, at least.

3 point. And maybe check out the weld-in version for better rigidity.

Hello I would recommend the 3 point as well. Due to no matter whatever your future plans are with your ride you cant go wrong with that set up....its like a roll cage for underneath the vehicle.....lol. If you have any questions feel free to ask I will be glad to help! Below is a link to show the difference between the two!

I would also say 3 point, well worth the money. If you have T-tops you diffently want them, my t-tops and dash would rattle but not after I installed them.

It's said that welded in 2 points SFCs are just as rigid as 3 point SFCs, however in my opinion another connecting location can't hurt. I have SLP 3 points they hang SO LOW, eventually I'll move to the UMI 3 points since everything else under my car is from them. UMI=

You really can't go wrong with either one. I'm happy with my tubular 2 point connectors from UMI.

Two ways to look at this:

1. Any SFC will make the car stiffer so are 2 points "good enough"?

2. If you feel the car needs to be stiffer, and you are spending time and money doing it, why woudln't you put the strongest ones on you can?

I lean more toward #2. 3-pts do cost a bit more, but not exactly many hundreds more, and they do have more metal in them. 3-pts are basically 2-pts with triangulated bracing added. That's only a bad thing in one way, they weight a little bit more... but then any SFC's, even 2-pts weigh more than no SFC's!

Neither is wrong. Asking which is better is like asking someone what the perfect woman looks like, you'll get a lot of similar answers, but not all the same answers. And if you like Angelia Jolie best, does that make Meagan Fox a dog? Hell no.

You need to decide which suits YOU best. Do you want the strongest SFC or not? The most cost effective? Is a small cost difference no object? And so on and so forth.

I like the UMI three point bolt-in. And you can always take them out if you dont like them or want somthing else.

I have the UMI 2-point boxed SFC's and they are great. Whatever you do, definitely get the weld-in variety.

I am very happy with my 3 point. I had them welded in after driving with them bolted on for two weeks. Having them welded made a significant difference, but they also did even as a bolt in piece. Here's my thread about them:
