Default Rusted swaybar endlinks...

I'm installing Sam's lowering springs, but i cant get the damn swaybar endlinks off... they're rusted solid and it's soaked in WD-40, but so far no joy... just wait more i guess????

They usually break and it won't hurt to put a new set on while your at, so you might want to just cut them. Energy Suspension and Prothane both have them and could be bought from a local parts store I am sure.

Get an impact gun, it pulls them right off. Or you can break them which was what I did when I took them off (just broke from the torque).

I just did a set on a 4th gen the other day, hit them with some PB, let them sit for a few then nailed them with the impact. Came right off.

I'd get the replacements before you go bust 'em,
but bank on busting at least one. I did, and the
car was less than 5 years old at the time.

Had the same problem with mine. Mine were rusted so bad. A little torque and Bam snapped them. Just change them out with some energy suspension ones.

well i got the bitches off... ended up having to cut one with a dremel (of all things)... the other snapped... now I cant get the upper control arm off the spindle arm... ******' rust! god! i've been working all day and only have step 1 done! sweetness

you have to get some of that pb blaster. it works wonders. also if you have a propane torch heat up the nuts, works everytime !

you'll want to put neoprene ends on any way, buy new ones.. put the impact on until they break. only way. i broke 2 on my Y2K ..... the nut has to be a new one anyway.
