Weird Noise After LCA Bracket Install
I put in UMI Relocation Brackets in yesterday. Drove the car today and I'm hearing a clicking sound underneath the rear of the car when I'm moving. It sounds like every rotation of the drive shaft it makes the noise. Its not extremely loud, but loud enough to hear it inside of the car. It also doesn't make any noise when in reverse.
Would LCA Brackets put pressure on the pinion/rear end to be making this noise. If anybody has some advice that would be great, thanks

Yeah I'll double check that, Is there any way that my pinion angle could be off? It sounds like its every rotation of the drive shaft that it makes the click sound.

I've had all sorts of noise with the LCA brackets. To really get them to quiet down, checking torque might help but it won't solve it. To get it to stop you'll probably have to weld the brackets to the housing. If you aren't an experienced welder, take it somewhere and have them run a couple beads on each side for you for $50 or so. Make sure they drop the LCAs out before welding it up so they don't melt your bushings...
Just my $.02.

Yeah I know the bolts are tight, I think it just affected my pinion angle. I'll prob loosen the brackets up again and see if I can't do some adjusting. When I installed the brackets it was a pretty tight fit to get the LCA bolt through the bottom hole on the bracket and I had to force the bolt through. Could that be the problem?

If your pinion angle has been altered I would check the installation of the relocation brackets.

when u re-attached your LCA's after the bracket install,, was your suspension loaded when tightening those LCA bolts? I know that can cause a "popping" sound if the susp is not in the loaded position.

Steel spacers were put in, Car is lowered two inches, Suspension was loaded, however i'm not positive if it was "fully loaded". I put the car on jack stands and put the jack under the rear end and raised it up a few inches. The LCA's didn't quite line up with the lower mounting holes on the bracket and I couldn't just slide the bolts through, had to do a little prying to get it to line up. I'm up at school right now so might just loosen the bolts back up and see if I can't get stuff to line up a little better when I go home for Spring Break.
