Default LoL i wanted to lower it and now i got a damn monster truck

Ok here is what i got. in august i put the car up on stands...rebuilt the rear, put in a new clutch yada yada yada. Anyway i figured that while i have the suspention apart that i would finaly install my dms springs. well after 7 months i finaly started to put it back together. I put the car on the ground and the damn thing is like twice as high off the ground then before i lowered it. Could this be from the shocks being extended for the past 7 months?

No, shocks can't hold the car up. Did you tighten up the control arms with the car still in the air and suspension hanging? That can preload the bushings as they will twist up as the suspension loads. (stock type bushings only). Loosen all the control arm bushings then tighten them up with the weight resting on the springs after bouncing it a few times on each corner.
You still have the drive train in it right?
If it's none of that then it's just your old springs sat lower than the new ones.

The weight was all on the rear when i tighted it. There is no way that the new springs sit higher. I had stock springs with isolators and now i have DMS spring with no isolator. Car should be pretty muched slammed. The only thing i had tight at the time when i lowered the car on the ground was the torque arm and the shocks.

What are the fender height measurements (ground to peak of fender lip arch)?

The shocks could have froze up. Have you tried removing a shock and checking to make sure it compresses, or loading the car down with a lot of weight? Got any photo's?

If you just let the car off the jacks, it will sit high until you can really move it and compress the suspension. That's not abnormal.

I had my camaro on a lift for 36 hours and that was enough to make it ride an inch or two higher for a little bit. Being up for months I can see it getting kinda stuck up there.

+1. You need to move it for everything to settle. if anything, just push it back about 20 feet and push it back up....it should settle.
