Aerospace vs strange drag brakes weight savings
Does anyone know the weight savings of the front and rear brakes when going to lighter weight drag brakes? Specifically, what is the weight of the aerospace vs the strange fronts?
Also, what weights savings does the areospace REAR brakes offer over the stock?
I am trying to decide if the strange price difference is worth the weight savings. I do not have abs so that is no factor. Any help will be appreciated.
Thanks,
Matt

I dont know the wieghts but Ive had both. The stranges are much better quality and seem to work better. The Aerospaces also make a wierd noise when applying the brakes because of the drilled holes. Ive heard a few sets, it wasnt just mine. Also after about 10,000 street miles the aerospaces calipers needed to be rebuilt. I now have about 15,000 miles on the strages and they are doing good.

I feel Strange quality is also much higher. Price difference IS worth it.
If you're choosing the aerospace hub replacement style rotors, weight savings will be very close between the two. Where they both differ something you're overlooking is the quality.
Strange will save about 55lbs for the fronts, 25 for the rears.
If you're interested in Strange Engineering products, we can set you up with the brakes and replacement braided lines you'll need. You also may need a bearing spacer depending on the rear end which we turn in house and can supply to you.

Strange it will be then. I just need to get $2k saved up to do the swap.
One otehr question, I have heard horror stories about having to pump the brakes to get a decent brake pedal and stopping power...is this true? I have stock brakes with a manual master cylinder now and have a nice firm pedal.
Thanks for the replies,
Matt
