Default Need brakes!

Does anyone know of a good brake setup for an 02 Camaro that doesn't break the bank? The car makes over 600rwhp and the stock brakes aren't working. I know Baer makes a great set but they are over $3K for the kit. Any ideas or info is appreciated. Thanks for the help.

Theres a ton of info on this if you search around, but here is the list to get you started, in order from basic to best:

1997-2004 C5 12.8" rotors and calipers. Requires spindle adaptor bracket. Check out the WS6 Store, they sell an entire kit with everything for like $700. Will fit almost all 17" wheels.

2005+ C6 Z51 13.4" rotors with C5/C6 calipers. Requires same spindle adaptor bracket as previous, but with Z51 abutment (caliper) brackets instead of C5 brackets. Minimum of 18" wheels. Believe me, I tried these rotors in my 17" wheels, not even close.

2004+ CTS-V 14" rotors with 4 piston Brembo Calipers. Should be a direct bolt on, no spindle adaptor needed. Must check caliper-to-wheel spoke clearance though, since F-bodies use a different offset than Corvettes. Minimum 18" wheels.

2006+ C6 Z06 14" rotors and 6 piston Brembo calipers. Same fitment as CTS-V brakes, no spindle adaptor needed. Must check caliper-to-wheel spoke clearance as well due to offset. Minimum 18" wheels.

None of those break the bank, you should be able to do any of those upgrades for less than $1K. Check out GM Parts Direct for prices. Hope that helps.
