www.rockauto.com will be cheaper, but keep in mind rotors and stuff are a little on the heavy side to ship, so the savings might not be super great for those. I prefer Brembo blanks for rotors, but those cost more. If you want cheap and decent, Raybestos from Rockauto. Their "professional grade" (the lower of 2 series) is fine if you're not hard on your brakes, but go for their advanced technology (or, better, Brembo blanks) if you are hard on them.

That is a very good site. I am very hard on my brakes because I drive mine daily but pads/rotors arent that bad to change. The main hardware is what i am worried about thanks

You probably shouldn't need to replace the parking brake hardware - but when you replace the rotor, be sure to adjust your parking brakes to the new bore of the rotor before you put the caliper back on. (Otherwise you may have to take it all apart to do the adjustment later.)

If you really want to get things perfect, you may want to take apart the parking brake mechanism, clean, and lube it. If you want to get in to this, and need new lever boots for the parking brake, let me know and I can PM you on a place to get them. (Usually they are the only part to go and they are impossible to find - parts stores will only sell them to you in a total replacement kit.)

Right, but unless you drive with your parking brake on - all the time, your parking brake shoes should be just as good as the day the car came from the factory.

i think I know when they are wore out because of the grinding sound they make when i apply them uphill (example in a drivethru )and it makes the nice horrible streetching sound and doesnt catch at all. Ive had my rear apart the clean the sliders, they were screwed from the begginning.

Could be lots of things. Could be your calipers, hoses, MC... What pads have you been using? How extreme are you on your brakes?

It sounds like your parking brakes are just out of adjustment. If you adjust them properly, you should be fine and you will probably notice little wear on the pads. (They were probably not adjusted properly the last time the rotors were changed.) When they just have slight contact with the drum, they screech like metal on metal. (The bad news - your parking brakes haven't been working. The good news - since they haven't been working, they can't be worn out.)

I broke a pad tonight doing a nice u-turn.. lol.. bought new pads and lucky the rotors werent hurt at all. Got the brackets off to clean them and the ebrake shoes where spidercracked and big chunks off of them.. cleaned up what I could and put it back together. The work better now because they needed adjustment haha and the chunks cleaned out of them. But the are very thin... I guess ill stop using it to slow down when i see a cop so they dont see my brakelights....

FYI. I used a bore brush and a cordless drill to clean up the brackets/slide pins. All is well
