Question Creeking when using air conditioning grr

My 2000 SS A4 makes a creeking noise when I turn on the air conditioning in the summer heat. It gets really bad if the weather is above 80 and I have the air on even a little bit. What is causing this, it especially makes noise when I go over bumps...I guess it sounds like the suspension is having issues but why would it do this with the AC. Also if the ac is not on and I run it in the heat sitting still for like 5 mins it will creek afterward.

Does it do it any other time when your driving the car? Mine makes a squeaking sound but I think it is coming from the back. Maybe my exhaust hanger? Could the heat just be contributing to the noise occurring?

Where in NOVA are you? I'm in the Fairfax area.

It really only makes the noise when it's hot outside and I have the AC on. I'm in the Loudoun area, Ashburn to be precise.

Only when you have the AC on, but also when the car's been sitting with the heat on?

If just when the air conditioner is running, I'm willing to bet it's the clutch on the compressor.

It doesn't creek if I'm not moving, it only creeks when I start moving from a stand still or moving very slowly.

You might want to try cleaning off the pulleys with solvent, as the belt might be slipping on the A/C pulley, and/or it's time for a new belt. Also, the A/C unit might be low on Freon.
