Great mod! The improvement in ride quality makes it well worth it! Just take you time cutting the mount and paint the newly exposed metal!

Why do you recommend I paint it if it's going to rub on the on the top hat of the shock? So you noticed a difference? What's your setup? Aren't you the one with coilovers?

Paint it so the exposed metal doesn't rust, or give it a coat of anti-seize for the same reason.

IMO yes, ride quality is noticeably improved, and that's even with me lowering it another 3/4"!.

And yes I've got the Edelbrock IAS shock/spring setup.
