Default Nylon brake lines.

I see a lot of "not recommenced for street use" labels. Question is why? Do they stretch too much? Or is it just DOT regulations?

DOT has a brake line "whip test" and the nylon and alot of braided steel line brake lines won't pass the "whip test." IMHO, it's not a value added spec and it does nothing to quantify the ability of the brake line to hold pressure or take impact from road debris.
