Default Watts Link Installed

I recently got a Watts Link installed on my Camaro. I bought it from Sam... thanks Sam! What's a Watts Link? Bottom line, it replaces the Panhard Bar to get rid of the unwanted lateral motion of live axle cars. A more detailed explanation of live axle behavior can be found on our web site at:

Here's a complete explanation of the geometry, etc. http://www.fays2.net/fays2_watts_link_22_.html

This thing works like a charm. It has smoothed my ride and solidified my rear. When driving on the freeway, the usual uneven pavement, potholes, railroad tracks, etc. now my rear doesn't "clunk" or break loose at all. When making turns, it feels like it's on rails. It's hard to fully explain, but it was an instant noticeable difference.

I have Strano sway bar, stock rearend but w/ a T/A cover, SLP dual/dual exhaust. It was a tight fit, but it fits ok.

I had my buddy who owns a 4th & 5th gen camaro drive my car before and after and he was amazed of the difference. He said it was the closest thing to IRS for our 4th gens. He'll be ordering one soon for his 4th gen too

Here are some pictures of what it looks like in my car:

Did you need to do any cutting/grinding on the car to mount it Fays2 frame work up, I did when I installed mine yesterday.
I'd recommend using a digital level for any one that's going to install one, that's what I used when I did mine.

I had it installed at a shop, on a lift. Didn't do it myself They sanded down some of the bolt-on points for a flush fit, but nothing major. They did have to modify the swaybar spacers (provided with the kit) because the holes didn't line up properly though.

I installed mine about 3 months ago and man what a difference it makes. The thing is truely
amazing.I had to grind a little bit on the mounts where the bolts go thru on that tube part that bolts to the rear end housing.

I also have strano hollow sway bars, koni 4/3's,Lca's anh UMI subframe connectors. The Watts Link is one of the best investments I have ever made and I would highly reccommend it to everyone.

Yeah man, great investment. Wish it had been out years ago. I was surprised how good it feels just on normal driving, not even on turns, but going straight on uneven surfaces.

has anyone taken their car to the drag strip to see if it helps on the f-body yet?

It is a nice looking piece, especially for a DD.

Thumbs up

Here's mine as of today.
If you haven't figured out yet my car sits rather low, depending where I set the air pressure at!

Great investment!

I set my RC all the way up because, this is my cars normal ride height, and the only way to level the bars is in the top hole.

No, I haven't tried any other setting yet, but I will be soon. I just retorqued the bolts yesterday after 150 miles of driving after the install, so I want a little more drive time at the current setting.

99Bluz28, who's rear sway bar is that? My bushings in my endlinks are all smashed up. I'm guessing it's time for new endlinks/bushings.

Hotchkis 3 position adjustable, also recently installed on my car about 2 weeks ago.
