Default Traditional front wheel bearings?

I removed the ABS from my car a long time ago. Well now I need front wheel bearings and dont want to pay $$ for the special ABS sealed hubs if I dont have to. Is there a way to run a more traditional bearing setup on the front?

I thought 3rd gen suspension setups were pretty similar to 4th gens. Is the 3rd gen spindle/hub setup compatible at all?

Not at all, at least without a TON of adaptation work. The 3rd gen spindle uses the strut as its upper mount, where the 4th gen cars have an upper control arm.

Bottom line, you'd probably spend a couple thousand dollars in parts and fab work to save a couple hundred on a new pair of hubs. Probably not worth it...
