Default bilstein's on stock springs?

was going to order some bilsteins soon for my 96 trans am. couldnt decide between the bilstein HD and the SLP Bilstein shocks. from what i understand, the SLP Bilsteins offer better handling and a softer ride, but are also designed to work with the Eibach springs(SLP Handling #2). i was curious to see if anybody on here has used the SLP Bilsteins on stock springs, and if so, have they run into any problems. from what ive read so far, it seems a few people have run bilsteins on stock springs, but they didnt specify which ones, so i was unsure. as stated earlier, the car is a 96 trans am, non ws6. the suspension package is fe2, if it makes any difference. also, i do not plan on lowering the car in the future, as my next project will be a longtube/true dual setup, so i'll need all the clearance i can get. thanks

Standard Bilstein HD's are meant for stock springs. Front SLP Bilsteins were designed for SLP springs.

i know that the slp are simply revalved hd's but i wanst sure if anybody ever ran into problems seeing as its set for a higher spring rate?

as far as price, they seem to be the same. found em for 380 at afterthought auto, and thats probably what i was gonna go with but im just checking to be sure. fired off an email to sam to see what he thinks and if he's got any other recommendations
