time for watts! need advise
i've bin dreaming about a watts link system for my car for so long now, and now it finaly seems like i am able to get one,
what watts is the tech's favorite?
i was thinking about the fays2 system,
would like to get review's from someones that has a watts system,
i am trying to choose between a flore mounted tourge arm, or the watts, i will get both, just one in a time, car wont be driven until i got both,

All i can say is take your time setting up the WATTS linkage.. dont torque anything down besides the main support bar until all the arms and everything line up and are parrallel to the ground. Follow the directions and it will be very effective without any binding or odd sounds. Check the bolts for the first week and keep everything well lubricated with WD-40 all the time to prevent rust and other debris off the rod ends.
If you dont already have a rear sway bar, I would get it before the torque arm. Strano sells a 3 position adjustable rear sway bar that works real well with the watts.
Good luck with the install, you will be very happy with it! I know I am

It should. The Fays2 comes with a thick spacer for where the sway bar u-bolts mounts to the rearend. If the sway bar is too close or touching the watts then they can be used to pull it away from it.

Also if you have a 12 bolt, it may or may not fit. Mine is not installed yet. I have to modify quite a few things.
also you will need to consider the vent tube location for it is in the way of one of the axle claps.
I plan to do some hacking and slashing to try and make it work.
They have been instaled with sheet metal covered 12 bolts but ot with the girdle. Now we know why. I was somewhat warned, but Fays felt there would be enough clearance. I will give an update it when I get it figured out.
I just noticed you spray so doubt the diff is stock.

Yeah it will take some experimenting with different diff covers and a little engineering to get it to work with the 12 bolt. I know that the Fays2 can be ordered with different size axle clamps for the 12 bolt but dont know if anything else on the watts linkage is different for clearance. It could be a whole different bar all together.

What about clearance on a stock 10-bolt with a diff cover? Is there an issue there as well?
No clearance issues!

That's my winter plan is to replace the rear diff cover as mine is leaking, so I might as well go with a cover with a fill and drain plug as well as cap pre-loading bolts for some added benefit. With that, I wanted to get a Watts link as well, so it's good to know that it will work together.

not trying to hijack, but i really would like to do the watts as well when i get my 9 inch put in. My big question is that i have the basssani true dual exhaust, where the dual pipes come over the passenger side of the axle. Anyone know of anyone running the Bassani tru dual exhaust with the watts?? thanks
