Default Getting new springs some questions

I have a 1999 v6 camaro and i have 17x9.5 and 17x11 ZR1's on my car and i was wondering what springs I should get for my car and also will I run into trouble with lowering my car with these wheels?

Thank you for your help

i'm running bmr 1.25" springs with koni SA with the same rims/tires you have

had to clearance the innner fender on the rear, and use an adj panhard to center the rear.

The probability is pretty high with the 17x11s on the rear.

We do also offer the solution an adjustable rear panhard bar.

When you lower a vehicle it slightly shifts the axle of the car over to one side. The way to correct the axle from being off center is the use of an adjustable panhard bar. BMR offers several different variations to fit everyones specifics needs. To see what BMR has to offer click here:

Are your tires the same hieght as stock? If so, you may not be able to get a normal jack under the front. Guess how I found that out Had to borrow a jack, lift one side and then I could get my jack under the front and lift from there.

I used Koni shocks and Strano springs. They are great products, but you may have to wait for them.

regular springs are all you need.

the suspension is the same v6 to v8 other than the springs and sway bars.

clearancing the fenders is as simple as beating on it with a hammer....its not hard.

Both are currently in stock (but as usual, spring stock isn't what I'd call super high).

17x11's are big... and a tight fit, regardless of springs. In fact fitment really has nothing to do with lowering springs or not. It has to do with the body vs. tire size + wheel offset. And no two "315's" are the same actual width and even offset can vary a tiny bit which makes for less room.

At minimum you want the strongest, least deflection PHB you can get to both readjust the body vs. the axle and minimize deflection of PHB bushings. I'd recommend this one: http://stranoparts.com/partdetails.p...D=67&ModelID=7

You mean springs? I sell a number of different panhard bars, none of which I produce. Generally I use and recommend UMI's bars, and they are all on my website. The roto-joint is the best way to minimize deflection and noise both.

If you want the best shocks, it's Koni's. SLP Bilstein's (on sale) are not bad for a street car for a year or two--but start to get a little overwhelmed by spring rate with more and more miles (not designed for the rates we use). My springs were developed on Koni's and that's what works best.

exactly my setup....although, at some point in the (hopefully near) future, i will be upgrading to a Watts link.....that may be what i get in a couple months or so when i get my income tax return.

if you value the ability to turn really well and keep the rear end planted, a Watts link would be my first choice, cash-flow allowing, of course.....it is definitely more expensive than a PHB, but i feel that the extra cost is well worth it.
