Default Best way to drop rear 1" for drag racing

I have Strange DAs up front so I can adjust them to what ever I want, but I want to drop the rear about 1" and retain the best possible drag set up.
How should I go about this??

maybe cut a 1/2-1 coil off your stock springs my car is a slammed bolt on 4k stalled a4 and my best so far is a 1.68 which is not great or good enough for me but i'm still working out shock settings and I need to check over my pinion angle again i'm wanting to get in the 1.5's with the set up that I have which I think is possible but if not I will be trying cut stock springs but your car is a M6 which is different if you don't want to cut your originals check your local salvage yard and pull a set from a car its worth a try and cheap or this question might be better posted in the drag section i'm sure there are some lowered cars pulling good 60's that could steer you in the right direction.

I like my ground control set up out back. I'm not sure if they will sell the rear set separate from the front but it's worth giving them a call. It's about $400 for the complete set front and rear with springs.

From what I've seen many people seem to cut a coil out of the springs on top of the header hose mod. I haven't done it myself but that's probaly what I will end up doing.

Yeah Im not sure if anyone just sells rear springs, Anyone have pics of exactly where to cut the stock spring??
My car also 60s 1.68 but the rear just sits up way to high since I put in the S60.

You could get a set of Hotchkis rear lowering springs (1" lowering).

No, but I sold (gave away, actually) the rear half
of my set after deciding it was too low relative to
the front drop.

While I still had them on there, I put the air shocks
on as a variable-ride-height fix.

Lowering is not going to help your launch at all. But
if you used the air shocks you could be anywhere
from ghetto low to trailer park jacked up, just a matter
of pressure.

With the hose mod & stock springs I just leave them
at zero pressure anymore.

also different models (ss, z28) came w/a different ride height to start. correct me if i'm wrong but i believe that slp cars came w/a eibach spring that was 3/4" shorter to start with. to me those cars w/the heater hose mod look just right.

if you keep the front the same height a 1.25" drop won't look right.....

The front coilovers can be lowered to accommodate the look as necessary

I say go for an 1" or 1.25".....either way it'll clean the look up, and we can still get it to hook........
