Comparison between Baer and Wilwood Brakes
Has anybody seen any kind of comparison/competition between Baer and Wilwood Brakes? My builder wants to use Wilwoood Brakes on my Autocross car , (Chevy Monza, Circle Track engine, 3,000lbs, Six Speed, shooting for low 30 sec, etc) and I was leaning toward Baer. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

I have the older Baer 6 13" with ALCON marked on them and they stop my full weight Z on a dime with ZERO fade, On my 94 CONVERTIBLE mustang I have 14" ALCON brakes and they are simply AMAZING!!!! So I would suggest Alcon.

The most important thing is perform all of the necessary calculations with regards to your GVW, front-to-rear weight distribution, spring rates, shock valving, tyre compound, brake pad friction coefficients, hydraulics and then compare figures to which exact brake kit comes close to what you've worked out.
Since your vehicle is around 3000 lbs., if you manage the front-to-rear dynamic weight distribution properly through the appropriate spring rate and shock valving, you shouldn't have to spend too much on a big brake kit.
