Alright I'm betting you were in the same boat I was, you don't like how the car feels disconnected, loose, floaty, just not planted at speeds, and especially around turns. Assuming there is nothing broken, installed wrong etc. with your suspension then the problem is simply the stock shocks, simply put they suck at doing their job. Good performance shocks will more than likely satisfy your needs, do not look at OEM replacements, this is not an issue of worn out shocks, its an issue of shitty valving to begin with.
And lowering springs on inequitable shocks is only going to recreate the instability problem, the shocks wont be able to damp the springs and the car is going to feel unstable again, just stiffer.
Personally I would go with these:
http://www.stranoparts.com/partdetai...D=20&ModelID=7
and keep your stock springs. AMAZING difference.
You can use the lower perch on the front konis to lower the front of the car ~.75" and do the heater hose mod in the rear to lower it around 1/2".
Try this first before lowering springs and see what you think, if you still want springs then you now have shocks that will damp them very well.

Strano can also set you up with some ATE front rotors, and Hawk HPS front brake pads.

Shocks and sways are going to make a bigger difference in cornering than springs. It's really up to you with your priorities I guess. You can lower your car about .75-.5" with Koni shocks, or you can get Koni's and Strano springs for your bigger drop, but then you don't have money left for brakes!

lol, if I were you and had to stick to a $1000 budget, get the 4/3's, some Brembo blanks if you can find them and HPS pads, and maybe some poly endlinks for your stock sway bars to boost their performance....that should put your around $1000 if you're only looking to replace your front brakes.

Yeah, you don't have to lower it to get good handling Koni SA's, sway-bars (strano hollow bars), and a more performance oriented alignment (a little negative camber). If new sway-bars aren't in your budget the as stated above get new poly sway-bar bushings and end-links. I would also replace the PHB bushings too.
