How important is this piece?
How important is it to install the small odd shaped rubber/metal piece that sits in the upper coil perch on the front springs? I just installed bilstein struts with slp springs and the spring compressor i was using would not allow me to compress the spring enough for the stem of the strut to come up through the bucket and that "piece". So i just installed the stem nut without it. When i releived the spring pressure the spring pushed the bucket up, leaving the very center lower on the stem. I kno its hard to see without pics. But once i installed the whole assembly and added the weight of the car, all looks normal. Is it ok to keep it this way?

The springs are supposed to be SLP level 1 springs, they are dark blue but they have no part number or tag on them. I bought them from a ebay company that said they were new old stock and he had 3 or 4 sets. They cam in an unmarked box also. They are about 1" tall than my stock springs uncompressed. What do you think? They real?

They may be bum springs but the pics didnt sell me on em. The price did and the fact that the guy jas alot of other slp stuff. Oh well, they ride good and they handle good, they just didnt lower it much. Cant beat it for $50!

glad you're happy, but with all the work involved I sure would have gotten a complete set of springs with known qualitys for height, handling, and ride. this is a case where being cheap is not a good idea, and you really didn't save a great deal compared to doing it right.
