Default Wilwood rotors

The SSBC 13 inch 4 piston big front brake kit for F-Bodys uses ZR1 rotors. Sick of Asian import rotors that warp easily, and after exhaustive research, I bought the Wilwood Pro-Matrix upgrade kit that’s for the Corvette.

It comes with rotors, hats, pads hoses and bolts. As these hoses and pads don’t match the SSBC calipers, I’m only using the hats and rotors. The SSCB kit came with braided hoses and I’m using EBC Yellowstuff pads. The calipers use pads from a Mitsubishi 3000GT.

I must say that these are the most impressive rotors I’ve ever used. I like the fact that I can get new rotors and bolt them onto my hats. I love the fact that I’m using a part that requires safety wire.

I just finally installed them. I needed a scraper to get my eyballs off the windsheild. I'll have pics in a few days...

Here ya go. The caliper sticks out a bit so to get ZR1 wheels to clear, a 1/4 inch spacer is needed.

Sorry for the dirty wheels....
