Angry Help! broke rear koni.

I feel sooooo pissed off with myself right now!
The tab on one of my rear konis just twisted clean off! And no I didn't over tighten it, it's somewhere off from 1 turn from soft but don't know where.
I guess I'm gonna have to pay to get this repaired now I can't even grab the end with pliers & adjust it

Anyone have an idea how much this is gonna cost me?
Please don't bash me I feel stupid enough as it is.

If you bought it new and you have the receipt, supposedly you can get it repaired for free.

I wasn't sure if they'd cover it under warranty!
I basically went to tighten up the rear bushings a little because after having some vibration problems, Sam mentioned that the bushings maybe weren't tightened down enough, causing the shock to move & they weren't.
When I went to tighten the nut up the tab started to spin so I put the adjuster on to hold it, when I should have put the spanner back on the top nut to hold it.
I would have expected some resistance before that happened, but it just came off in the adjuster! Now I feel like a complete F**king idiot.

how tight are they supposed to be? I just got mine installed - they're decently tight, but I didn't want to overtighten them either.
