New Brake Rotors, have some questions
i just bought some new rotors
1) should i paint the part between the rim and the actual rotor face because it rusts overtime?
2) what direction should the slots/drills point?

Should have LH RH marked on them. Imagine the bottom part (closest to the hub) of the slot as the beginning.. when the car is rolling forward you want them going.. "up".
This picture .. to me.. and according to my powerstop rotors...is the WRONG direction. But I suppose it doesnt matter.

The TOP of the slot should wipe the pad before the bottom of the slot.. So if its rotating clockwise (Passenger side) when your looking at it, the slot at the top should look like / Counter clockwise (Drivers side) should be \
The bottom left rotor should be your passenger front.
It really only matters though if the rotors have curved (directional) vanes. If they are straight vanes, you will be fine either direction. Remember, the vanes pump air from the hub out to the top, so it will need to be oriented in a way the the vanes in the hub "catch" the air and spit it out the top.
