35mm hollow or solid swaybar?
I have already purchased a solid rear sway bar from a member on here and was wondering if there really is any benfit to running a hollow sway bar in the front vs. a solid sway bar. Realisticly I am trying to justify spending an extra $45 to save 10lbs on the front of the car and I can't.

It's a bit more than 10 pounds, more like 14 or 15. And like Mitch said, that's cheap (I mean it's $100 to opt for Chrome-Moly on SFC's and saves you 5 pounds).
And fwiw, the stock front bars are all hollow, so you'd be adding about 17 pounds with a solid bar.

Not to hi jack but if weight were not an issue how much stiffer is the solid 35mm bar vs the hollow 35mm bar?
only reason why i ask is im tring im still tring to figure out my suspension setup and if i was going to drive around with a 1.25in or 32mm solid rear drag bar...what would be the best complement to keep the car from over steering on hard corners?
thanks guys

With that much rear bar, the car will oversteer period. That's massively stiff on the rear of this car. The solid bar is slightly stiffer, but the rear bar is still going to overwhelm it on balance....

As for the solid vs. hollow and which is stiffer, the solid bar would be marginally stiffer, but it isn't as much as you'd think. The primary factor in how stiff the bar will be is tied to the outer diameter.

My production bar is hollow, if you got a solid from me it was a while ago. I guess I'm just not clear on what you meant (maybe you had a solid 35 before). I have in the past sold solid 35's. When I first started with that sized bar years ago, and for a while about 2 years ago when we couldn't get the hollow bars made I did a limited run of solid bars (which were less expensive).
But all the 35mm bars I do now, as Strano Performance parts are indeed hollow. I do sell UMI's bars and those bars are solid.

No worries, Sam. I don't have beef on your front solid bar. They work well for my car as you stated, better than my stock 30 mm bar but not as light as your hollow ones. My car sticks on the road like glue around the corners or these ENGLISH Roundabouts.
