Default suspension load question

I just recently did heads and cam in my '02 Z28. It has a stock LS6 clutch in it with maybe 10k miles on it. Was on the highway the other night and decided to floor it in 3rd/4th. I floored it in 3rd and noticed a quite large cloud of smoke behind me. I had 4 people in my car 2 of which were 200+lbs each. Could the 4 people have caused the back tires to rub on the inner fender and cause this smoke?

stock width tires? stock rear springs? stock panhard bar? still have bump stops?

even if the car's rear suspension fully compresses and it's sitting on the bump stops the tires shouldn't rub anything. if you're lowered without a panhard bar, panhard bar is bent, have 315's with an uncentered rear etc. then it's possible.

yeah just realize I didn't mention what suspension (woops)

eiback prokit, kyb agx's (pretty sure they are set on a soft setting), stockp panhard bar, stock bump stops, 275/40/17 tires

155lb person, 130lbs person, 270lbs person and 205lb person. On little bumps I felt the car hit the bump stops once or twice.

If it's rubbing, it will probably be on the inner fender, front side, down close to the bottom. Look for shiney spots.

You were overloaded. The car is supposed to only carry about 500 pounds of weight in it. So yes, you probably rubbed a tire somewhere just a touch.

I thought it was more around 700-800 or so....most weight close to 3400-3500 unloaded (with fluids/gasoline/etc.) and the gross vehicle weight is around 4200

That's what I figured.

Yeah I'm 99% positive the clutch wasn't slipping. I was still gaining momentum while the smoke was going. It wasn't just a little smoke either lol

According to my reg, the car weighs 3411lbs with everything in it. 130lbs, 155lbs, 205lbs and 270lbs added to that makes the car 4171lbs. That's pretty damn heavy especially for a lowered car. I know for a fact I hit the bump stops a few times because I felt a thud when I would hit slight bumps on the hwy.
