Default Broken sway bar mounting point.

My car has kind of a swaying motion at highway speeds so I decided to get under the rear to take a look around. I found a u bolt just kind of hanging on with the bolts missing. It's also missing the bottom piece that connects it all together and goes around the bushing. The piece connects the sway bar to the axel. I want to get this fixed but, I'm not sure what it's called or where to find one. I think this might be causing my rear end to sway. I pulled it off and took a picture.

Just go to a parts store and get a 2.75" exhaust/muffler clamp, that's all that is. You'll also need a set of rear swaybar bushings. Cheap fix.

The bushing is still there but, I think there is a lower part that wraps around the bushing and bolts on to the parts I posted above. Not 100% sure. I can't remember what it looks like right now. I was just thinking maybe I'll get a new rear sway bar kit. I've been loking at them and I think it comes with a new set of clamps to replace these. They are only around 150 bucks.

my 89 IROC did this all the time after i put poly bushings in.............fixed it by using body nuts with the spinning washers on em......worked like a charm......the washer kept it in place......i now use the same nuts on my 2000 bird and aftermarket bars

When you buy the bushing, it comes with the other part you're describing, like this:

So the stock rear sway bar is 19mm. That would be a 3/4" bushing right?
