Default Temporarily disable ABS?

I'm chasing down an issue with my brakes. The pedal travels about halfway before the brakes really start to do anything. I've bled twice. I rebuilt and cleaned out the master. It just feels like all of the air isn't out of the system yet. I'd like to temporarily disable the ABS so it won't open any internal solenoids releasing trapped air at start up or in "test" mode. If I can make the brake system act as a traditional 2 circuit system, I can bleed it and feel the pedal come back. If it does, that just means I have air in the ABS block. If not, I have other issues. So is there a quick and easy way to do this? Will pulling the fuse disable the block yet still leave the hydraulic circuit intact?
