Default Brake Issue

Ok so last night i was doing the front brakes on my 2000 trans am and i was replacing the pads and rotors. So the drivers side goes together just fine but the pass just doesnt want to fit, for some reason the new rotor keeps hitting to the pad so the caliper wont fit over the rotor and i did compress the pistons all the way back in so you guys got any ideas?

You're positive the piston is compressed all the way in? Are you compressing the piston with the top of the Brake fluid reservoir off? Are you sure the pad is seated in the caliper correctly?
