Default replacing a-arm bushings

i managed to removed the bushings from the uppers without irreparably damaging the arms (kinda mangled them but bent everything back into place more-or-less). whats the best way to get the new bushings in without similarly tearing up the a-arms? i'd like to avoid paying a machine shop to press them in if possible
