Default lowering springs

i'm getting ready to drop some cash on some new shocks, probably the bilestein's but anyways, I wanted to know if i needed to upgrade my springs while i'm at it.

the thing is, I like stock ride height and I don't want to lower my car, do they make a stock height spring? all I find Is lowering springs...or do springs not add performance at all? and stock is perfectlly fine....?

thanks...

Honestly lowering it feels better and Looks way sexier. And It doesn't really do anything better in performance. Just makes it feel smother.

You probably don't "need" new springs, lowering the car is a personal preference thing. If you want to keep stock ride height, keep the stock springs.

If you like the stock height, keep the springs you have. You will notice a difference in the ride with a good quality shock.

ummmm no, and no. good springs absolutely do improve handling. and if they're designed correctly (i.e. use balanced and proper rates for the amount of drop) they will ride stiffer than stock, not smoother. quality shocks with lowering springs will make it smoother than stock, but that's only because the stock shocks suck.

Hey:

Don't some of the WS6 TAs already have Bilsteins and SLP springs, thats about as good as it gets at stock height, check your door badges.

Some firehawks and SS's do, that's a decent setup for stock. I had those springs/shocks in the rear and found the springs to be too stiff though. When I would hit a bump going around a corner the rear would kind of "hop" to the side. Either too stiff of springs, lack of shock damping, or most likely a combination of the two.

Best bet for stock height is Koni's with stock springs, or if you want a very small drop use the lower perch.
