Default Brake Pads

Hey guys does anybody use Performance Friction pads? I'm still tossing the idea between these and Hawk pads...but I have been hearing more and more about these PF pads so though I would ask if anybody uses them.

How much better are the Hawk HPS than the AC Delco OEM brakes for F-Body's?

How does the wear compare?

How is the dust? (because the AC Delco's have zero dust on my car)

You have to define what "better" means so I know what you're looking to compare. Brake fade is significantly better. You will be able to punch the pedal more times during an autocross without being affected by brake fade. Then again, this is also affected by the type of brake fluid you use as well. Using a higher boiling point fluid will help to further prevent this problem.

Wear is fine. I've never seen a problem with them wearing abnormally fast.

The dust isn't much of a problem either. I'm surprised you don't have dust with AC Delcos

Thanks.

Yeah, I have absolutely no dust. I buy the more expensive AC Delcos from the dealership, I think there's a cheaper Raybestos brand or something that they also sell. I used them once years ago and they were terrible. I took them off in 1 month and went and got the good ones.

Also, my car is just a street car, no road racing. But maybe I'll give the Hawk HPS pads a try next time. I think the AC Delcos I buy are around $140.00 for all 4 corners........HOW MUCH are the Hawk HPS pads for all 4 corners? I have stock sized Baer Erad rotors with stock calipers.

Hawk HPS's for an F-body at all 4 corners are $129.99 + shipping from the WS6 store. That's where I got mine.
