Just ordered a UMI tranny mount t/a today
Hey guys
I finally broke down and bought a new(RED) tranny mount style t/a today from Brad at UMI with the tranny relocation bracket because im changing out my current UMI tunnel brace t/a. The tunnel is a beast of a t/a ,but is to much for a strickly driven street car IMO which is mainly why im doing it. UMI's newer tubular style tranny mount t/a with a relocation bracket is the ticket IMO and I cant wait to feel and hear the differance. Brad at UMI said it will take 2 to 3 days to get out to me as their making them right now ,so it will be just in time for my retune im having done by jerremy Faratto this June 20th in Gettysburgh ,Pa.
I should have put alittle more thought into how i was building my ride before i started blowing up my credit card a few years back. My buddys also running this new style tubular tranny mount t/a with a relocation bracket and he said its just as quite, if not quiter then his stock one. Ill post up some pics and let you guys know what type of differance it made on my 02 35th LE Twin Turbo. I all ready sold the UMI Tunnel to another member on here too before any of you ask LOL Heres some pics of my tunnel arm thats on the car now
This works and fits perfect with my big *** S60 rear too that i put in last year, with no banging on the tunnel or floor pans either like other arms out there! The only thing i did do was to install Hime joints into the rear end part of the t/a to help line it up better because of how wide my S60 was compared to my stock. It fit like a champ too and couldnt have been happyer

I got that same exact setup you have in the pic with the SFCs & DSL. Yea, I blew my CC up too at the time, it was close to a grand with the tubular LCAs. At first I thought it (TA setup) was a lil harsh but I kinda like it now, I think it rides pretty good really. Let us know how you like the new one.

No, it's the UMI Tunnel Mount arm for long tubes.
After lowering it with the BMR 1.25" drop springs (and no isolators front/rear) I have about 3" of clearance between the ground and the lowest point on the cross brace.
I'll be switching to the UMI relocation bracket which looks like it tucks up just as tight as the y-pipe.
