its there for a reason..
you can buy aftermarket tunnel braces that are made to work better with longtubes and a y-pipe

I had mine off for awhile and didn't notice anything but then realized that just because I didn't notice anything doesn't mean it is okay to remove it so I put it back on. The engineers that designed the 4th gen probably put it on for a reason. If you don't want to spend money on an aftermarket one and you just need a little bit more clearance try adding some washers between the mount and the brace to drop it down a bit.

Hello
Another suggestion for you to eliminate the vibrating issue is to loosen up the Y Pipe and readjust it so you have the clearance and then re-tighten it back up. What a lot of guys do is they just remove the braces and replace them with a DS loop. Below is a link to show you what I am talking about.

If you have any other questions feel free to ask and I will be more than glad to help.
Thanks
Brad

I've got probably 10 of these "tunnel braces" laying around our shop. like UMI said, replace it with a DSL if you really want, or just run w/o it.

thats going to be a problem i made the mistake and had the exhaust welded. i wasnt thinking and messed up. i told the guy to readjust the y pipe and he didnt. and now i went back after the vibration started and they were closed.

Hello
Well in that case just remove the factory tunnel brace. They're are many people that do this and it will eliminate your problem. If you have any other questions feel free to ask.
Thanks

I installed a DSL after my ARH install. The vibration from the factory tunnel brace was driving me nuts.
