Default Rear shock mount mod?

Im sure most of you are familiar with JasonWW's thread about modifying the front upper shock mount to regain some lost compression travel from lowering a car. Has anybody done any mods to the back? I'm awaiting Strano springs and SLP Bilsteins, and would like to see some ideas to transfer the same results to the rear. I have a couple simple ideas... What does everybody think?

Custom rear bumpstops to allow for more rear suspension travel.

Use the 55mm koni BS (best choice)or the GC soft strut BS (1/2 the cost of the Koni 55mm bs, but stiffer).
I'm currently using the GC bs, until i get my koni 55's, which have been on back-order.

You do need to use caution whenever your trying to get more suspension travel. Make sure your model shock doesn't get over compressed. Watch out for the exhaust, too. Your biggest limit is going to be the torque arm hitting the parking brake cables/trans tunnel.

Just switching to some better rear shocks will help reduce how much the suspension compresses and give a smoother, more controlled ride. A bit after that I went with some 150lb rate springs, which helps yet again. My back end was pretty low and it rode real nice and I could fly over the bumps and dips no problem. All the little tweaks add up.

What ideas do you have?
