Default Aftermarket panhard bar question

Is an aftermarket non adjustable panhard bar supposed to be shorter than the stock panhard bar?

Hello
Like mentioned above a aftermarket stock length pan hard bar will be the same length of a stock pan hard bar when it comes to center/center on the mounting locations. If you have any other questions feel free to ask.
Thanks
Brad

Is this measurement estimated or accurate? I only ask because it's possible that you got an S197 Mustang panhard rod by accident. They are identical in width and bolt sizes but shorter than an F-body bar.

I would definitely contact Spohn about that. 1/4" isn't much and you could easily install it but it's not right. I checked the Mustang PHR length and it's more like 1.5" shorter than the F-body...

Is your rear end centered? If your drivers side sticks out, shorter might be better.

Checking with the manufacturer can't hurt though.

I have a question just out of curiosity. I've never measured both to compare. Wouldn't it seem like an aftermarket adjustable PHB should be shorter than stock at shortest setting and longer than stock at the longest setting, so that you can make adjustments either way?

Yes, that is accurate. We have 2 inches of thread on our adjusters which allows up to 1.25" of total adjustment. Our panhard rod is designed around the OE length so when the adjustment is in the center of the threads, the BMR panhard rod would be OE length. This gives you the ability for 5/8" of adjustment in either direction.
