Default What torque arm is this? Bolted up to trans tunnel.

This torque arm was installed on the roller that I picked up. Its the first time any of us have seen this design. Its actually bolted into the trans tunnel. Anyone know?

Looks close to the one I have. Mine's an Alston, that might be a cheaper jegs knock off?

It could be as I did buy the car in Illinois. Does yours mount to the actuall trans tunnel like mine does?

Yes had to remove the interior to install it. Drilled holes in the tunnel for the front plate's mounting bolts.
That one is a little different then mine, it has a poly bushing in the front & the mounting at the diff looks different also.

One trip to byron on ET drags, first pass I snapped it like a twig.
About $1500 in parts damage
My car full weight M-6 pig though.

I put the Alston on there & have had countless passes=no problems.
Mostly leaves wheels up with 5K+ 2 step launches.

My torque arm does look exactly like the one in the Alston link, but the bracket is different. Hopefully it doesnt feel too harsh on the street as I would hate to pull it off and have all those holes in my trans tunnel.

I drive mine on the street now more than race anymore. No problems, I just keep the pivot filled with grease always. The slide has no play in it after 4-5 years & 10K.

I have changed the car up some lately & been road racing it. It is really the only major drag piece left in the suspension. I hold up there well too, just a little too short to RR.
EDIT; my car is a bit loud, but to me it is much more quiet than the spohn arm was.
Very streetable IMO.
