Default which kind of torque arm is better for me?

i cant decide between a relocated stock length or a tunnel mounted arm. car is a daily driver that sees a decent amount of track time. i have a used ta i bought with my 12 bolt. i think its a moser ta. has a 396 and is a six speed.

Hello,

What exhaust are you running on the car? Headers, y-pipe, cat back ect.

Is a little additional noise a concern to you at all?

a little extra noise doesnt concern me but i might have a problem with, for example, a loud clunking sound. what kinda sound are we talking about? only when launching or all the time?

Thanks for the reply and the information.

Is the y-pipe catted or is the Pacesetter off road y-pipe? You may be able to get away using our tunnel mounted that offers better ground clearance.

The tunnel mounted work great for drag racing, they are a shorter arm and would be less expensive than a full length with relocation kit. They may however transmit a little more noise since it is bolted directly under your butt and there is no longer a bushing to absorb it. Either set up would work well for you and work well on the street.

Hope that helps some, I will be glad to answer any additional questions. Thanks!

Ryan

well i wouldnt need another torque arm. i would just need the relocation kit right?

so regardless of price, the shorter one would be better?

Yes you are correct, as long as the torque arm you have now bolts into the stock location, does it? I don't think Moser makes a standard torque arm replacement, do you have any pictures of the arm that's on there?

Shorter arm would be my recommendation for your driving. Since you already have a longer arm the relocation kit would work too.

Hope that helps,
Ryan

Thanks for posting up the information for the OP

As long as your torque arm bolts into the factory location on your transmission our torque arm relocation bracket will work fine.

Our relocation bracket also has additional height adjustments available to allow you to fine tune the suspension to your individual application.

As far as I know Moser only has a torque arm that bolts to there Fab rear end the M9 and then mounts to there own crossmember. But regardless if your torque arm now mounts to the transmission our relocation kit will work fine.

Hope that helps,
Ryan

yup. that looks exactly like mine.

iv always been curious about the different front mount. is it better for it to turn freely or to twist like the factory one? it should also be able to slide back and forward a little too right?
