Default Practicing double flare fittings before SJM !ABS?

I'm going to be installing a SJM ABS delete kit soon.

What tubing do I need to get to practice double flares with my tool before I attempt it on the in car lines? What size and where can I find it? I've never done flares before.

Actually it is a simple procedure. I would get a quality flare tool, Imperial makes a very good 1. Then you need a good reamer to prepare the inner and outer edges of the tube. Here is a link to CC's site with pics. With a little practice you will become a pro at it. I also like Imperial's tube bender, which comes in very handy to when running brake/fuel lines in your car.

Any auto parts store sells 1/4" or 3/16" steel line.
The stainless line is a little tougher to work with.

I think the stock lines are metric but they are very close to imperial standard sizes. The front & rears are different sizes - 1/4" & 3/16" are the best match.
