Default Brake booster flex

When we were flushing my brake fluid yesterday for the new brakes, my friend noticed that when I depressed the brake pedal my brake booster was 'flexing' away from the firewall. We swapped positions and I watched it happen. The only side effect it appears to be having is lowering the point at which the pads begin to grab. I've long complained about having a low pedal even with new pads, rotors, fluid, lines, etc.

Could this be the culprit? If so, is it as 'easy' as replacing the brake booster? Any other parts needed? Will I need to bleed the brakes again?

you do not need to re-bleed the brakes for a booster change.

I think it's the Evos that have a kit out that links the brake booster to the shock tower via a brace to keep the booster from flexing out during hard braking.

It may be more a case of the firewall flexing, allowing the brake booster to push away, rather than a bad booster itself.
