Default BMR Suspension Lower Control Arms.

Any opinions on these? I just ordered some for my girlfriends 16 year old sons 97 SS that he fucked up playing around in the snow and hit a curb. Bent the passenger side lower control arm, broke the hub and brake rotor. Called the dealership and they wanted 300 bucks for one control arm, screw that.

The car, it looks nice but has some issues.

You can likely add the upright the hub bolts onto to your list of needed parts.
If it broke the hub, the upright is surely bent.
I just took a major t-bone hit on the right front wheel from a Fox Mustang. Broke my upright and shock both in half. wheel, a arm and hub were fine.

OK, you want help, here's help.....

I don't like to bash site sponsor's products, but if you're looking for opinions, here's my $0.02 worth.....Suspension components with poly bushings and/or rod ends are nice, IF and ONLY IF, you drive on roads that are glass smooth, without any expansion strips or potholes. These parts have very little to no give whatsoever, and will cause the car to ride like a buckboard on rough roads.

First off, tell that kid to keep that car out of the snow!

Those A-Arms should be a direct replacement and will work for you, they will replace the factory A-Arms with no issues.

Merry Christmas,
Ryan

The lower control arms are direct replacement and should fit without any issue. If you are using poly-urthane bushed components it is very unlikely that you will even notice any change in the driveability or ride of the car at all, now with the rod ends there is a noticable difference but there are situations were they should be used.

I ordered the BMR Fabrication AA002R's yesterday from Summit Racing, recieved them from UPS this morning at 10:00 A.M got them installed and dropped the car off at Firestone for an alignment. Just picked it up and everything works great. Very pleased with your product! Everything went together easily and did not have any problems.

Thanks, and Merry Christmas

The upper was not bent, just the lower.

Its back on the road now, hopefully the kid will keep away from curbs now.

I was not refering to the upper A arm, but rather the upright between the upper and lower A arms.
