Default 4 channel to 3 channel abs

im looking at getting a used diff and wondering if anyone has done a 4 channel to 3 channel conversion? if so, how much of the diff am i going to have to tear down i have a 94 lt1 and would likie to keep the abs

i had to drill the top of the rear for the sensor and pull the diff to have the reluctor ring installed on it. i sent my diff to scott at DLS and he welded the ring on for me.

to OP,you said 'differential' but it sounds like you're talking about a complete rearend.Converting a 4channel rearend to use in a 3channel vehicle is to be avoided,get a used 3channel rearend.

i am keeping my eyes open for a 3 channel but they seem to be very un popular and there is a few rear ends for sale on here but they are 4 channel, im going to be doing a gear/posi swap if i get a used unit so that shoudlent be an issue if its just a hole, thank you for the link, i did search but it looks like i was in the wrong section

Just delete ABS, that is what our ABS delete kits are for. 3 channel ABS is rather lackluster and not worth the effort or the cost to convert it.

If you don't want to delete it, make a wanted post in the sales forum section...many of the LT1 guys that are removing their 3 channel ABS controller will probably have one they would be willing to sell you.
